The film is set during the last months of World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank called “Fury” and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. – Wikipedia

Unlike Inglourious Basterds, Fury actually has a very impressive cast of Jewish actors playing soldiers (Jason Isaacs, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, and Cajun-Jewish mix Shia LaBeouf). They should have used this cast for that film.
@Josh, yeah I kind of agree with you on the “meh” with this trailer. Doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be good. Looks fine. Didn’t see anything Oscar-worthy necessarily, but we’ll see.
meh
You guys actually think Pitt looks good in this? Didn’t seem like he was trying to do anything with any of his lines, just monotone all the way through like he’s in Ocean’s Eleven again or something. I miss the days when he used to put forth effort (Twelve Monkeys, Seven, etc.). That said, movie looks like it could be good
Looks all kinds of outstanding and like a surefire Oscar player, and a worthy one for a change.
Brad Pitt is poised to end up with one of the greatest filmographies in the history of the medium and surely the best one among his contemporaries. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was going to keep giving him a helluva run, but he left us all too soon.

I’m glad somebody took the nickname Wardaddy before John McCain got it.
I’m glad some tank took the nickname Fury before John McCain got it.
Would be cool to see Pitt win Best Actor and Jolie Best Director at the same Oscars ceremony.
