UPDATE: ok, we’ve had our bootleg kicks. You can now see the trailer here in HD.
Another of those raw cam-quality leaks very reminiscent of the viral unveiling of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trailer. Ordinarily not worth noting or worth posting, if not for the interesting coincidence that both are Sony/Columbia films. I don’t know if that means anything, but what we do know is that Sony never asked anyone to take down the ‘bootleg’ trailer for Dragon Tattoo. So I’m fine with letting this one ride, for now, till we see if it gets the same lenient treatment. If you don’t like leaks then you shouldn’t click after the cut to watch it.
UPDATE: Removed from youtube. Comment #15 below has a link to another source, but I’ll stop chasing it.
looks like they thought ‘dark is in’, they saw batman and thought, figured they too can get the #2 box office of all time. isnt rocket science how these producers think.

I loved it. At the beginning it looked like some other movie. I agree that when they got to the CGI it didnt feel as great but I think this might be the next IT super hero movie (like the former trigoly was).
The only thing i miss is Kirsten as Mary Jane.

Is it weird that I liked the trailer UNTIL it got to the Spidey stuff? I’m a huge fan of Webb (liked “500 Days of Summer,” LOVED his work on the oh so short-lived show “Lone Star”), so I’m optimistic, but the superhero stuff just seemed to go against the tone that was established at the beginning of the trailer.

It’s Chris Nolans fault. he showed that comic movies can be big art that remains in movie history and could be Oscar golden like a perfect war movie. now they reboot the second best comic movie series to try make it even better… okay they will make their money, but if it isn’t the social network of the comic movies it … well, facepalm!

Visually it looks exactly like the original movies.
I will only watch it because of the names.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are great talents (Both deserved an Oscar nomination last year) and Marc Webb made a very good debut with (500) Days of Summer.
I think it can be good but i never found anything so unnecessary.

totally inspired by batman, it’s too dark for a spiderman movie

Anyone else think the POV sequence in the end looked like some video game?
Aside from that it looks quite dark, inspired by TDK much? Interested in how the result turns out to work.

Looks cool and Garfield seems perfect at it. But I still don’t know why the character needs a “reboot”.

The extended POV sequence at the end looks incredible, and I’m sure it’ll be terrific to see in 3D.
I’m not sure I like the tone, though. I understand they want to differentiate themselves from the Raimi movies, but I hope there is some levity in the film proper.

Since a theatre doesn’t always play these trailers with the movie they’re SUPPOSED to play them with (Didn’t get to see Dark Knight with Harry Potter), why dont they just post them online to begin with instead of wasting time making everyone else take down bootleg versions?

looks amazing. Love the tone of it. The first half of the trailer almost like a lead up to some horror thriller
ha, Vitaliy, I like that.
Amazing Spider-Man looks amazing.
I can easily see that quite on a poster

Okay, found a version. I think the spidey pov might be interesting in 3D. Not sure if I like how seriously the film seems to take itself, but I have faith in Webb, and I think Garfield could be huge star.

Aside from the darker tone and the new actors, it looks exactly like what we’ve seen already in the original Spiderman films…

Well now it’s down. Shit.

Also surprised at how dark it looks. I like the talent involved but at this point – like most of America I think – I am just exhausted of superhero movies. Time to ease up and focus on original ideas.

I hope it’s good. Looks a little too serious minded for a Spider Man movie too me. This is Spidey not Bat Man. I was hoping for something a little more light hearted.
