Sasha Stone has been around the Oscar scene since 1999. Almost everything on this website is her fault.

I’m gone to say to my little brother, that he should akso visit this blog on regular basiss to get updated from hhottest information.
thanks for the counterpoint, Jesus. i just meant that we get a surplus of CGI without a lot of good storytelling skill behind it. when the two are a good match, there’s magic. i don’t mean to put down the computer wizards that give us great images nowadays. more power to them. i hope MALEFICENT is great.
Nothin’ wrong with CGI.
GO CGI
GO CGI
GO CGI x infinity
When it’s done right, it’s right. Nothing wrong with CGI in the trailer.
Too much of CGI lately? Please, I’ve seen TOO MUCH of non-CGI all my life.
looks fun. tho, over the top CGI, which oddly doesn’t always impress. we’ve seen too much of it. i’m sure Jolie will do just fine–depending on how the story plays out. yet the voice is wrong. Eleanor Audley’s pipes sent shivers down my spine for decades. Jolie’s voice is too nice. nothing will compare (nothing!) with Audley’s great line,
“Now shall you deal with me, O Prince… and all the powers of HELL!”
The first half looks amazing. But why are half of all movies now set in Middle Earth??
Yawn, more CGI battle scenes, like there aren’t a million of those out there already.
At least Angelina and the production design look nice.
I’m such a nerd, I can’t wait for this it looks so awesome! Best production design nomination at least. It looks so beautiful.
This looks awesosme,Angelina nails it
I accept that Sharon Needles comment as high praise.
She looks like Sharon Needles, just google-image it.
WOW! This looks stellar. Jolie looks unreal in this role, what perfect casting – and yes she looks like she’s having the time of her life. I have a feeling this is going to be really great
This new “Dream” trailer is pure perfection: the hypnotic and haunting voice of Lana Del Rey, the superb CGI of the monsters and magic, and everything about stellar Angelina Jolie as the Mistress of Evil, Maleficent!
To emphasize, I’m especially impressed with the gloomy and dreamy rendition of “Once Upon A Time” by Lana Del Rey, a once sweet and romantic duet song. This song complements the tone and theme of the trailer (and surely the entire movie as well). Not that it matters, but I never liked any of Lana Del Rey’s music and, oddly enough, I was never fond of her vocal quality, but it just so happens to work beautifully in this song!
This trailer boosts hype and it does so facilely for me!
So, it is this, the new Lord of the Rings film? HAHAHAHAHA
It looks to me more like a Razzie contender than an Oscar one. Honestly. I’m so tired of this Hollywood tendency of retelling classic fairy tales as CGI-heavy action flicks…
Unfortunately, after the last trailer and the repositioning of Malifecent as a misunderstood vilain, I lost interest in this movie. She was the best Disney vilain ever. Pure evil. I would have loved a dark, twisted movie that would not toy with the original film. I will be leaving this one for home video release.
T.
VERY promising….I’m with the previous poster who mentioned doing a total 180 on this….in terms of both the trailer and my reaction. I do hope, like others, the CGI is not the star of the show like it seemed it would be if the first trailer was to be believed. Angelina Jolie does look really good.
Billowy. Why is she always walking upwind?
Wanna bet it will one of the fancy out-of-competition premiere galas at Cannes ?
Looks like next year’s Best Production Design winner.
Lana Del Rey always sounds like she just took 5 Zolofts with a couple Bloody Marys. Zero charisma in that voice, I tell you. This looks interesting, though. Hope Jolie nails this, because I like it when she’s doing good work.
I have a feeling this will be an epic, highly acclaimed Angelina Jolie performance. Just a hunch.
Whoa a total 180 from the last trailer which was entirely narrated by Voiceover Man!
I almost wish they had cut the second half out with the battle sequences, since the visuals of the first half + Once Upon a Dream are so effective on their own.
She looks like she is having the time of her life. I just hope it’s not too much of a CGI nightmare.
