Appaloosa, one-sheet

Posted on Aug 8 2008 - 12:12pm by Ryan Adams

Minus 5 points for failure to fully commit to sepia? Or plus 5 points? For one-sheet color palettes in 2008, Dark Knight Blue is the new black. (Bonus question: How many peculiar things would one need to add to Viggo Mortensen’s face before he ceases to be hot?)

Bah, sepia. That’s so last year! I think this poster’s perfect – reminds me quite a bit of Deadwood. The harsh lighting works perfectly too.

Can’t wait for this movie. Thanks for posting this, Ryan.

What is that on his face? A muskrat?

Viggo ceased to be hot shortly after The Reflecting Skin – He needs a good moisturizer.

Ryan, I was thinking the same thing (about Viggo).

It’s dark and traditional and modern all at once. I like it.

And between this one, The Road post from today, TDK, and last year’s slate of BP candidates, I think it’s safe to say bleak is the new bling.

Let us not lose sight of the fact that Viggo turns 50 this year, and looks damn good for it.

I’ve seen many 50 year olds with much nicer skin than that….little thing called Q10 goes a long way.

Interesting poster! The initial word-of-mouth and a few early reviews are suggesting that this has all the makings of a classic western. Let’s hope Harris exhibits some unexpected talent here.

Viggo and Ed are all right in my book. They are incredibly talented men in my age group who take chances, which might mean that their skin aint perfect. What bothers me about this poster are two words and an image that make me want to vomit….Renee Zellweger.
