Rarely FIPRESCI prizes matches the Pam D’Or, or the Leone D’Oro, or the Golden Bear. In Cannes I can remember “Fahrenheit 9/11”. Maybe not a good sign for Kechiche.
A journalist friend of mine who is at Cannes publishes today some rumors that are spreading acroos the Croisette. According to them:
– Spielberg loves “Le Passé” and is a fighting for the film win the Palm, also for political reasos, a message of good will to Iran
– The majority of the jury is rooting for “La Vie D’Adele”. Ang Lee is in love with it.
