Love it how Harry Melling’s name is avoided when he’s second listed in the trailer and credits, and plays Edgar Allan Poe… it would be completely ironic, that the first Harry Potter kid to be nominated for an Oscar, would be the one who played Dudley Dursley (who also was great and moving in Coen Brothers’ The Ballad of Buster Scruggs)
Looking forward to this. Curious why it hasn’t been part of the awards discussion. Festivals aren’t everything, people!
The buzz from a few people I know at Telluride was that the cut they had seen was terrible.

I’m dying to watch this!
Eddie Redmayne is frightening in netflix Good Nurse and deserves a supporting actor nomination
Is it released in theaters? IMO if a movie doesn’t have at least ONE day in the movie house it shouldn’t be nominated along side those that are.
I hope this can get some awards traction for Bale because that category needs a shake up!
Was surprisingly underwhelmed by the novel even though it’s right up my alley, but the twist ending is well done. This is looking pretty much in line as I imagined it.
So it’s Soldier’s Story/Few Good Men but with Poe?
It’s more gruesome than that.
Scott Cooper is a major talent so I’m down with this
