The film is adapted and directed by Liv Ullman, slated for release in 2014.
Thanks to JustJared:
Sasha Stone has been around the Oscar scene since 1999. Almost everything on this website is her fault.

I can only assume this will be a classic. Liv Ullman does very little that is subpar. I still get chills when I think of her performance in Bergman;s Face to Face.
This is a bit old, but for those unlucky who never saw the production this gives you a great idea on how she works with great actors.

oh my god. I can not wait. Ullman directing Chastain?!!! This is like some strange dream I never would have expected to come true.
Interested to see Ullman’s directorial eye. To me these are really well-cast parts (and Samantha Morton too) but I don’t want something that feels it might as well be on a stage.
Anyway, I cannot wait for the sexual tension on-screen from these two. Farrell needs these kinds of roles. Seriously when was his last romantic role? Miami Vice and Ask the Dust?
Everyone seen FAITHLESS? Totally baseless speculation, but what filmmaker’s esthetic does that Farrell’s shot remind you of? Ikr! <3
p.s. Are these "production images" or actual "stills"? can never tell.
From the lighting and direct engagement with the camera, my guess is that these are official studio stills.
These aren’t the type of shots Just Jared ordinarily publishes and it’s a little strange to see ‘Just Jared’ plastered on them as if there is some propriety exclusivity. Bugs me. See, here’s the Chastain shot without the watermark.
Unless JJ paid for them, it also bothers me to no end. Yahoo does that on movie trailers also.
Also, the production company behind this adaptation, The Apocalypse Films Company, is developing this as one of a series of films about femme fatales. Also in early stages of production: a sci-fi film from Claire Denis and a thriller from Isabel Coixet. Exciting stuff all around!
And what about Farrell? He’s very good actor too but he sometimes chooses wrong movies. This one looks promising.
Saving Mr. Banks is indicative of a directional shift in his career.
Liv Ullmann directing Jessica Chastain in a film both set and shot close in my home country. I hope she nails the Co. Fermanagh accent!
Super fucking stoked.
According to Chastain’s FB page (that she definitely runs), she is doing English dialect and has her dialect coach she worked with on The Debt is on set with her.
Well I’m sure she’ll be speaking English, but do you mean that she’ll be using an English accent? I can’t find evidence for that anywhere on her Facebook page, where is it?
I like she is working on her accent work with The Debt person because she had such a great accent in that film which has me excited for her. She could use an english accent because in those times English people took up land in Ireland while the Irish worked for them.
Indeed, that would fit the character well enough.
Couldn’t agree more! She is so versatile and her Oscar performance for last year’s Zero Dark Thirty was still unforgettable. One of the best actresses working today! Can’t wait to watch all the upcoming movies of hers later on this year.
I’m sure, Jessica is Oscar and Festival de Cannes winner within the upcomming 5 years. She is truly one of the greatest actress working today.
