I’m confused as to when they are announced. On the Golden Globes site it says ’8:15 EST on NBC’ and then in the same breath it says ‘NBC will air it live on The Today Show starting at 8:38 am EST’.

    So which is it?

Spike Jones for Best Director (although maybe not that long of a shot?)
Idris Elba for Actor (I hope)
Enough Said for Music/Comedy (not that long of a shot, but i didn’t bet on it)

Ehhem, I mean Spike Jonze, excuse me. Although Spike Jones being nominated would be quite the upset.

    @ Zach,

they start with a group of categories – supporting actor, supporting actress, original score, original song, most TV categories. This segment isn’t part of the big 8:38 announcement. The 8:38 announcement includes only the top categories – leading actor, actress, directing and the top drama and comedy categories. That’s why the Globes have two starting times.

Pretty lame choices this year Sasha.

You have one that will definitely not happen (Gatsby), one that has been disqualified and made headlines because of it (Johansson), and another one that has Golden Globes celebrity ass kissing written all over it (Clooney).

Bryce, as far as I know Neighbouring Sounds is not elegible for Golden Globes this year because it was submitted last year. Although I think it should have been nominated, the film had very little support due to it’s late entry. Almost nobody saw it back then and the campaign was too small for them to take notice of it.

    To Elabola

    @steve50

I admire both Pope Francis and Edward Snowden so either way I’m fine with it!! But Miss Golden Globes was already announced and it is Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter: Sosie Bacon (which in French could almost phonetically translate to Sausage Bacon…).

But who knows? Like they did with Clinton last year, The Globes could secretly invite Pope Francis to introduce Philomena and Edward Snowden to introduce The Fifth Estate.

These are truly the so-called last minute gut feelings in my case – no calculation, everything coming out of the blue (because I’m living on the other side of the world so that I’m not sure if I’ve already been late or so).

    GG NGNG:

    1) BEST ACTRESS: BRIE LARSON.
(I believed she had a high chance for SAG so her name had been included on the SAG prediction list of mine. But yeah, thanks so much, SAG; now that I still have to pick some pieces of me off the street.) : )

    2) BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: JAMES FRANCO
(Do I need to say the title and thus in a sense feel like insulting our privileged AD readers?) [Yeah right . . . . 129 Hours . . . .] xD

    3) (ANOTHER) BEST ACTRESS: ADELE EXARCHOPOULOUS.
