Llewyn goes to space? Cool – never expected that.
Does that make it a sci-fi/musical?
oops. clicked wrong file on tiny phone interface.
if you like the beat up Buick Electra you’ll love his topless sister
“Please Mr. Kennedy, I don’t wanna go to outer space”
Now I’m ruining everybody’s jokes by correcting my mistake.
[for those who missed it, I screwed up and posted a Gravity still instead of the Llewyn Davis poster and didn't fix the mix-up for a minute or two.]
Sasha, I am very interested in hearing how good this soundtrack is…will it win Best Song and Best Score?? How does it compare to O Brother in terms of becoming a pretty mainstream hit with consumers?
I really think this is a move that could be a dark horse and be a real contender. Maybe that’s just hope on my part.
The Coens look so happy all the time. There was this photo of them on the NYFF red carpet and they looked like they were about to bust a cap in someone’s ass.
The poster goes with the trailers whitewashed look so that works. And it will probably stand out in the theater lobby since everything else is usually dark.
It won’t be eligible for nominations in either category.
This is something AMPAS needs to change. Either re-add an adapted score category, or make it more inclusive “use of music”.
Really?? Why is that? Had no idea…
Oscar Isaac, Garrett Hedlund, Justin Timberlake
The most sex in a Coen flick yet, though I’d been all over Brad Pitt in BURN AFTER READING
Great, timberlake is ruining yet another great movie for me. I don’t know why I have this irrational dislike for his presence.
I love the Coen brothers. I can’t wait to see this.
What’s in a name? Best ORIGINAL Song and Best ORIGINAL Score:
The key phrase here is “written specifically for the motion picture”. The board is very strict on Best O. Song but there is some room for “mixed” compositions in Best O. Score if the biggest part of the score is original: a couple years ago The King’s Speech was nominated even though it used at least one Beethoven tune, and The Social Network won even though it included several electronic remixes of classical pieces. But last year Moonrise Kingdom was allegedly ineligible because the original score composed by Desplat was overshadowed by preexisting songs and music.
OT: Character posters for Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac.
Take that, Miley!
OT: Bryce, I LOVE that you’re using the Jamie Bell poster as your avatar. I was nearly overcome by the vapors when I saw that.
Ha I myself evaporated when I saw him
