  1. Leto can’t lose at this point. He is sweeping these Critics awards.

  2. More and more, McConaughey seems to be Ejiofor’s only real threat. I think come Oscar time, McConaughey (his impressive career renaissance taken into account) will be in a strong position to win over the (relative) newcomer.

  3. It seems the Original Screenplay Oscar will go to Spike Jonze. He has won so many awards.

  4. Nice to see more wins showing for MM. I was beginning to fear his award was going to be only the nomination, which is still awesome.

  5. Julian, I know you used “relative” in parenthesis when describing Ejiofor, but he’s more well known now than one would think. He’s been nominated for a handful of Golden Globes since the mid 2000s. Maybe a newcomer to the Oscar party but he’s been in my eye for a decade now.
