Thanks to Josh:
Sasha Stone has been around the Oscar scene since 1999. Almost everything on this website is her fault.

My reaction (or lack thereof) to this trailer tells me I’ve grown weary of Tarantino’s schtick … There was a time when I’d watch any movie directed by Tarantino … not anymore.
Looks incredible especially Leo.
“Watch out for this one…and watch out for Zero Dark Thirty. These are the two unseen movies that I think could upset the apple cart with movies like Silver Lingings, Argo, The Master, Beasts of the Southern Wild, etc.”
That wouldn`t be hard because those contenders and current frontrunners aren`t that strong. Each is missing certain Oscarness ingredience. I`d add Lincoln to the list too. Hasven`t seen it but I`m hearing it isn`t epic enough or whatever. So I can see any of Les Mis, Django, ZDT trio to pull an upset, although Les Mis wouldn`t be an upset cause it`s been one of early frontrunners since the day of its production announcement.
I love Samuel L Jackson’s look which was obviously modeled after the gentleman on the Uncle Ben’s Rice package!
Everyone seems to be gleefully chewing the scenery and having a ball, especially DiCaprio.
I can’t wait!
QT has the ability to pull your pants down while you’re not looking. I have not read the script and I can’t really get a handle on how it will turn out from the trailers. I do know that there isn’t anything else out there remotely like it, unlike other films this year that you can cluster.
If there’s really great ANGER and furious VENGENCE that compliments the slapstick and parody on offer in the trailers, then I think it’s a bond fide dark horse.
I’m not even that big a fan of Tarantino, but this looks fun as HELL! dunno about Oscars, but it sure looks like a good time at the movies! hope I’m in the U.S. when it comes out!
Couple of corrections needed. Ryan Reynolds was nominated for Safe House, not Ted, as Reynolds was uncredited in the latter. I’m changing Amy Adams’ nominations to reflect BOTH The Master and Trouble With the Curve, as she was recognized w/Timberlake in On-screen chemistry.

Gonna have fun with this… but, people, Quentin’s (stolen from others) joke became old a decade ago.
He’s not the second coming of Jesus, as he was in 1994.
Sam Jackson might just pull off one of those scene-stealing bits that Oscar loves.
This is definitely a dark horse, along with Zero Dark Thirty. High hopes for both.
I have a feeling this COULD be a wrench thown into the top awards lists this year. Will it win? I highly doubt it. But I think it’s a dark horse to not only get a BP nom but also a director nom for QT. It’s really not on anyone’s list on Gold Derby predictions…hardly any in the top ten. Yes it’s unseen but so is Les Miz and that is a front runner.
Watch out for this one…and watch out for Zero Dark Thirty. These are the two unseen movies that I think could upset the apple cart with movies like Silver Lingings, Argo, The Master, Beasts of the Southern Wild, etc.
Also, I am in the minority but I am not sold at ALL on Les Miz. Will it get a plethora of love and awards? Very likely. But I am not sold on it for winning best picture. I just am not sure how arguably the most beloved musical ever will translate with an all-singing film. Critics and audience alike will be comparing it to the stage version. Dunno, just not buying the Les Miz hype yet…but that being said I can’t wait to see it. Haha.
My off the cuff predix are:
*Argo
*Lincoln
*Les Miz
*Silver Linings Playbook
*Zero Dark Thirty
*Django Unchained
*The Master
This movie really can mix a lot of thing in the awards season. It looks very strong and stylish. QT is a top director, Leo looks very strong and could be a real contender for best supporting acotr nomination.
The blood that EXPLODES out of people is downright hysterical and awesome. Sam Peckinpah would tell QT to tone it down a bit.
Maybe its just me but was that a different take for Dicaprio in the “Ill do with my property whatever I so desire” scene than what was in the last trailer? I remember there were two different takes of another scene with Dicaprio between the first u.s. trailer and the first international trailer. weird. Is this a normal thing?
This film will be the Best Picture runner-up (to Les Miserables).
