Oh Steve Jobs. I’ve had so many Apple computers by now I can’t remember when it even began. I had a Mac Plus, a Mac LC II, Powerbooks, Macbooks, G4 towers. I’ve had ipods, ibooks, ipads and iphones. My room is all Macs. I have a Macbook Pro I write with every day. I have an Imac I use for recording. I have an Ipad 2 and an Iphone that I use every day. It isn’t just the stuff. It’s the unrelenting vision, the quest for beauty in the electronic world. Jobs and Apple made all things electronic elegant, easy, alluring, and addicting. He also is partly responsible for the success of Pixar. Things won’t be the same without him.
On Apple’s site today:
Rest in Peace and hopefully this at least serves to see changes in Apple’s policy on many aspects.
Love the Apple technology, hate the brand and what it represents. Dave Fincher should start researching for a sharp as a razor biopic.

But will he make the montage?!
I’d really like to add one more contest to AD if Sasha or Ryan like the idea. A pool on the “in memoriam” montage. It’s a little macabre, sure, but I’d love to see people voting on who will make it in. The pool would all be very transparent, people could add write-ins etc.
What do you think?

I’d say he was more than just partly responsible for Pixar:

P.S. I’m looking over to the right of my screen and wondering how you don’t have Wally Pfister and Moneyball as a potential nominee for Cinematography??

Who can take the role of Steve Jobs in his biopic?
William Hurt
Woody Harrelson
Sam Rockwell
Eric Bana
Joaquin Phoenix

Ia not of big tech consumer (guess I never bought a product from Apple), but I perfectly understand that the world that in which I live, is somehow a Steve Jobs world. And everytime I heard about him, I terms of film, I continue to think how “Pirates of Silicon Valley is a deeply underrated work, and deserved more praise. Some say that has severeal inacuracies, don’t heve the knowledge to comment that, but it’s avery interesting work.

Charles Napier died, too. And I just watched The Silence of the Lambs for the umpteenth time yesterday.

It’s the passing of an era. Very hard to believe that he’s gone. RIP, Steve.

without him, all the films of PIXAR wouldn’t have existed.

I am wrting this from my Macbook Air that I love so much. Steve Job’s vision and work with Apple will never be forgotten. He was too young to die, we will miss him.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs. A true visionary genius. There will never be another like you, Steve. Thank you for all you’ve done to help change the world and make it a better place. 🙁

Jobs’ touch was a significant component of Pixar Studios as well! The Pixar Touch reveals how important he was to that company. It’s Kate Winslet’s 36th birthday today, but that’s not where my focus will be this year. I will be using my MacBook and iPhone with an increased awareness of the elegance and style Jobs brought to consumer technology.

Me too. Being a graphic designer, Apple is all I’ve ever known. I once retaliated when I was called an apple fanboy – I said I had no choice. Who was I kidding, of course that would be my choice. He sits with Edison as a great visionary that will never be forgotten. Nice post, thanks.
