Susan Sarandon talks to Larry King in a very candid, wise, and might I say brilliant way. She stars opposite Richard Gere in Arbitage, which I will be seeing soon.
When asked what she would do over and she says “nothing.” She would have made her mistakes younger. That’s the only thing she would change.
Oh, and her dog has a twitter.
She is a complete delight!!!!!! I am a happier person today by watching this. Just cool, calm, collected, charming, funny and honest.
Adorable interview….and yes…I will follow her Penny 😉
Sigourney Weaver, Helen Mirren, Sissy Spacek, Judi Dench, Vanessa Redgrave, Diane Keaton … all are strong supporting players in film and/or TV.
Jane Fonda has also gotten more agressive with her career again. Barbra also keeps up her profile as much as in the 1980s and 90s.
I’m sure I’m leaving out some names …
Luke: “While Streep has taken the starring roles, Sarandon has quietly cleaned up all the supporting roles. It seems those two are the main two actresses above 60 working in the business”
Are you forgetting Glenn Close (and Jessica Lange and Anjelica Huston)?
Anyway… I love all these incomparable women.
The video can’t be streamed outside US. I hope someone will post it soon on youtube. Love Susan.
I love her honesty. Very casual and free interview. While Streep has taken the starring roles, Sarandon has quietly cleaned up all the supporting roles. It seems those two are the main two actresses above 60 working in the business.
I love this woman.
In the interview, she said she had her chin sucked out ten years ago. She also said that she never had Botox.
Great, candid interview. Watched the whole thing. Thanks for sharing Sasha.
Caddie, she has obviously had plastic surgery but it’s good work. She had a facelift in the mid-1990s, then had her eyes done about 10 years ago.
I read a comment that she said that I really liked. Sarandon was talking to her friend Christopher Walken about how the two of them were going to corner all the work in their age group because neither of them had cosmetic work done. They’d be among the few actors who actually looked the age of their character.
