Yawn …
probably a movie for people who grew up in that era
“Road” b.o. here in Brazil is quite disapointing. Nobody expects “Avegers” numbers, of course, but at this day barely reach 300.000 tickets sold, and the movie has a good media coverage (a lot of TV news, covers of Arts newspaper sections, etc), and as everywhere, Kerouac book has a strong cult following. Lame result.
it’s been out here in Brazil for a little over a month if I’m not mistaken… I liked it but was underwhelmed.
Saw this piece of garbage right after Cannes. Atrocious and pointless. Hated every single character. Maybe that was the point but I found it unutterably insufferable.
Ryan, that film was made by the fellow who direct last year’s very powerful film Outside Satan, which I recommend.
^ La Vie De Jesus
Mattoc, Dan, thanks! Knew I could rely on you guys.
@$#*! Masters of Cinema. They use that still shot a bait to click to their monthly deals — and yet that movie isn’t among the current bargains they’re offering.
Can wait till next month and if it’s not on offer by then I’ll break down and pay full price.
Garrett Hedlund should ravage me -so hunky!! <3
The movie looks wholesome and mediocre.
KStew is ewwww :/
Anyone know what movie this is?
Asking for a friend.
Oh, and I love how the frame it chose for the video is of the threeway. Who’s not gonna hit play on that?
Without question I am seeing this. It looks sexy as hell in the trailer. The book drove me mad, which might have been its point, not sure. And this cast is a knockout. Except I haven’t seen a thing with either of the leading men, but that Garrett Hedlund sure is cute and definitely throws enough charisma in the trailer for you to see him as Dean. It will take a special person with a certain spark to pull that role off I think.
Mel, I’m sure I won’t be alone around here in recommending you see Control (2007) with Sam Riley playing Ian Curtis, lead singer of Joy Division.
Gorgeous b&w cinematography. A work of art by Anton Corbijn.
