I visit every day some web sites and information sites to
read articles or reviews, except this weblog offers quality based content.
This comment from a poster, “I don’t know of one critic or media pundit who has it in for him.” ie; Brad Pitt re: the zombie summer film. So the film gets a pass or no pass dependent upon how film critics feel about said performer? Well that explains much of the over the top praise for many films including indie films/art house projects and the slamming thereof and under valuing of big studio films. So movie reviews are not objective analysis in many cases? Also using a critic’s bully pulpit for vindictive biased reviews is endorsed by the critics’ associations? But hey, Pitt is safe and others get their asses kicked and their projects marginalized.
A mess of epic proportions.
Did I miss something? There is STILL a forum here? Or am I to go to awardswatch.com instead?
Sally the old forums, awardsdailyforums.com, has moved to awardswatch.com — but the comments here are still the comments here. Nothing on this site has changed.
Trailer looks good. I just hope it’s not one of those longggg tiresome movies, you know like Skyfall?
It doesn’t look that bad to me. Also, it’s supposedly tracking well so it may not be a financial disaster like those other films mentioned. Something critically maligned that makes money doesn’t really hurt an actor.
“It doesn’t look that bad to me.” — Peter Travers
There’s no way I’m going to miss this on opening day. It looks nothing like the book, but that’s ok. Neither did Gatsby and I got my money’s worth that afternoon too.
Congratulations on being part of the reason why studios make such crap
Is Awardsdaily finally one big liberal strong women empowered site? Because it starts to look like it!
The only question is how will Brad Pitt come out the other side of what seems to be an almighty mess. Will the media lash out at him? Remember when Arnie made Last Action Hero? When Bruce made Hudson Hawk? Travolta did Battlefield Earth? Costner with Waterworld?
World War Z may tank but Pitt will be okay. I don’t know of one critic or media pundit who has it in for him.
I’ve so lost the plot on this one, I don’t understand how they took a book which read like a well oiled movie into this hot mess. The book was so simple and so effective, you could literally have done it page by page and had a great movie. Why they went and fucked it up like this is beyond me.
Well, that’s a relief – there’ll be cell service during the apocalypse.
So now Awards Daily is covering Razzie contenders as well?
You bet, it’s fun! Razzies are awards too after all. You know, it’s funny, now that the Twilight series is over, I miss making fun of every new poster and trailer that came out. Excuse me while I bring up “The Way We Were” on Youtube…
