2016 is upon us and so are the Golden Globes. In the 57th episode of the Water Cooler Podcast, Megan, Joey, and Clarence boldly predict several upsets in the Golden Globes television races. Spoiler alert: it could be a very good night for Outlander. Or not. It could be a banner year for newbies. Or not. With the Globes, you never know. Next up, they take a look at the 2016 Winter/Spring television season and find it to be a bountiful crop. The Three M’s list their most anticipated shows of the upcoming television season.

Note: Megan’s feelings were not harmed during the making of this podcast.

The New Year is upon us, and, as many of you make New Year’s resolutions, we here at AwardsDaily TV are making lists. That’s right, it’s time for the Water Cooler gang’s Top Ten Favorite Television Shows of 2015. TransparentThe Jinx. Fargo. These are but a few of the shows that appear on one, two or all three of our lists as we all look back over 2015 and fondly reminisce on what the television year has brought. And how could it be a year-end list without our singling out our least favorite shows?

So please join us as we bid a fond farewell to 2015. Feel free to add your favorite television of 2015 in the Comments section below – we’d love to hear what you think! Next week, we’ll be back on our regular Monday posting schedule with our Most Anticipated Television of 2016.

Happy New Year to all from Megan, Joey, and Clarence!

In every television year, a little rerun must fall, and the AwardsDaily TV Water Cooler gang have elected to re-gift last year’s epic holiday special, “A Very Special ADTV Christmas.” We covered our favorite examples of holiday television programming ranging from the standard holiday specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas to examples of popular series (MoonlightingThe Simpsons) expressing holiday joy in their own special way. At the end of this year’s holiday podcast as is tradition, our own Joey Moser shares a reading from David Sedaris’s Holidays on Ice around the 1:50 mark.

So here’s to you from the AwardsDaily TV crew! We wish you all a very happy holiday season, whatever you celebrate, and we’ll see you next week with our annual Top Ten TV lists.

Or subtitled “The Death of the Peacock.”

This week on an early edition of the Water Cooler Podcast, the Cooler gang take a look at the recent round of television awards nominations including the Producer’s Guild, the Screen Actors Guild, and the infamous Golden Globes, which completely shunned NBC’s shows. What nominations shocked us? What nominations surprised us? What nominations brought out the snark? Join us as we hash out the nominees and take a look at who may be in the lead to win.

We’ll return to our regular podcast schedule next week. Thanks for listening!

On the latest episode of the Water Cooler Podcast, Joey, Megan, and Clarence provide their predictions for Thursday’s Golden Globe nominations in the television categories. Because that’s what EVERYBODY talks about when the Globe nominations come out, right? (Film, schmilm.) Before jumping into that, though, we discuss the recently released American Crime Story: People V. O.J. Simpson trailer and its implications in next year’s Emmy race when it presumably goes head to head with Ryan Murphy’s own American Horror Story: Hotel and the second season of the critically adored Fargo – all of which are FX properties.

We hope everyone saved room for pie!

For this week’s Water Cooler podcast, we are flashing back to revisit the critically lauded (and unjustly cancelled) two seasons of the whimsical Pushing Daisies. The show is visually stunning, quirky, and cleverly written. We will discuss what makes it special, why it didn’t catch on its earlier run, and whether or not ABC was the right network to care for an unique show such as this.

Much like the beloved Freaks & Geeks and Arrested Development (both shows we talked about before), Daisies was a lot different than anything else on television. It’s definitely a show people love, so it’s a perfect example of a show worth talking about.

In preparation for our conversation, make sure you’re familiar with at least the Pushing Daisies “Pie-lette.” We will also discuss “Bad Habits,” “Freshcorts,” “Comfort Food,” and its series finale. Try and get in as many as you can before listening to our flashback conversation.

On the latest Water Cooler Podcast, the AwardsDaily TV gang of Joey, Megan and Clarence gather around the Cooler with their elastic band pants on ready to binge on some wholesome Thanksgiving television. We’re talking everything from classics like A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and The Simpsons (natch) to more recent gems like Gilmore Girls and Will & Grace. And, of course, what would a Thanksgiving special be without including Friends. Yes, we each include our favorite Thanksgiving-themed Friends episodes.

Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing for Thanksgiving, we at AwardsDaily TV hope that you have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!

We’re FIFTY! FIFTY EPISODES OLD!!!

Yup. We’re 50. And, like Sally O’Malley, we can kick, stretch, and kick our way through some of the new 2015 Amazon pilot episodes. How’s that for a transition? For the past few years, Amazon has commissioned various pilot episodes for comedy, drama, and kids’ series and made them available for free on their website. The intent is for the viewing public to help Amazon choose what pilots will make it through to a full season order – a more democratic way to sort through pilot season than the largely closed-door network version. This process spawned the upcoming critically acclaimed drama The Man in the High Castle.

On this week’s 50th podcast, Joey, Megan, and Clarence grade each of the comedy and drama pilot episodes. Join in the process from home by viewing any or all of the 2015 Amazon pilots and giving your opinion on their merits in the Comments below!

On a side note, we know you all have many, many options for television and other pop culture podcasts. The fact that you continue to listen to ours and provide such great feedback means the world to each of us. As we approach our first anniversary, we have only you, our loyal listeners, to thank for our unexpected longevity.

So, THANKS to all our fantastic listeners for giving us your ears each week. We love you guys for it!

These are but a handful of the shows Megan, Joey, and Clarence discuss on the latest Water Cooler Podcast – the “Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em” Edition. We discuss the merits (or demerits) of certain long-running television series, why they seem to endure, and whether or not the series should endure (“Love ’em”) or if it’s time to shoot Ol’ Yeller (“Leave ’em”). We’ll also jump forward 10 years and make some predictions as to what, if any, current television shows will still be kicking around.

Join us on the latest Water Cooler Podcast and let us know what long-running series you continue to “Love” and what you’d just as soon “Leave.”

On the latest Water Cooler Podcast, the ADTV gang of Joey, Clarence, and Megan take out their red pens and rulers for the inaugural Fall TV Midseason Report Card. The Cooler gang grades many of Fall TV’s new series such as Quantico and Scream Queens as well as recurring favorites like The Affair and Fargo. How many of your favorites receive a passing grade? How are the newer shows holding up? What about recurring series? Are they continuing to perform well or is their performance slipping?

Join us on the latest Water Cooler podcast as we hand out the grades to Hollywood’s biggest television programs. What would you grade your favorites? Sound off in the comments below!
