Walking Dead Spinoff. It’s going to be set in Los Angeles. (TV Line)

Roadies. Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks will co-star alongside previously announced Luke Wilson in the pilot for Cameron Crowe’s hour-long comedy about a rock tour as seen by the crew who make it happen. She’ll play Shelli, the band’s production manager described as “tough but privately emotional, married to her job and scary good at it.” Crowe wrote and will direct the pilot in the first part of 2015. Other reported cast members include Imogen Poots (Need for Speed), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) and Rafe Spall (Prometheus) (THR)

Untitled George Clooney Project. Dr. Doug Ross is joining forces with director Bennett Miller (Capote, Moneyball) and writer Peter Tolan (Rescue Me) to pitch a 1990s-set, one-hour “dark comedy looking at the movie business through the eyes of the studio executives running it” to Sony TV. Tolan will write while Miller will direct the pilot. (Vulture)

Meet the Kellers. Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, the duo behind Comedy Central’s series Drawn Together, are reteaming for a half-hour family sitcom for 20th Century Fox described as being half-scripted and partly hidden camera. No other details available. (TV Line)

The Terrestrial. USA Network is developing an alien abduction drama from Gary Dauberman, the man behind the recent modest theatrical horror success Annabelle. (Deadline)

Criminal Minds Spinoff. Pretty soon, CBS will soon be a network made up entirely of spinoffs of its own shows. This one will center around a special FBI unit dedicated to getting US citizens out of trouble overseas. The new series will be planted in an episode of the main show this spring. (Deadline)

Star Wars Rebels. Frank Oz will be reprising his role as the voice of Jedi master Yoda on Disney XD’s animated show. Yoda will apparently counsel Jedi knight Kana as a disembodied voice… I guess broadcasting via The Force. (TV Guide)

How to Get Away with Murder. Cicely Tyson has an upcoming mystery guest spot on ABC’s Viola Davis drama.

Arrow. Marc “Beastmaster” Singer has booked a recurring gig as General Matthew Shrieve, leader of the Creature Commandos starting with episode 14. Arrow returns from midseason hiatus on January 21 on the CW. (EW)

American Idol. The long-running music competition show is ditching the gratuitous results show to air once a week. Now if they could just replace Seacrest… (TV Line)

Cancellations

Gracepoint. Originally billed as a limited series, the door was open for another season of Gracepoint, but the David Tennant/Anna Gunn American remake of BBC’s Broadchurch never caught on with viewers and Fox has pulled the plug. Season 2 of Broadchurch, however, returns to BBC America February 4. (TV Line)
