Ebert is back, in a manner of speaking, er, not speaking, sorry – bad joke. 🙁
Ebert is back! He now has a blog where he will be writing all things Ebert. Great idea.

I’ve disagreed* with The Ebert many times over the years, but you know what?
He’s one of the reasons why I got into the movies, watching SISKEL & EBERT on the weekends, to dig how they would pimp underseen good efforts and trash the popular awful trash in theatres….either I’m happy or pissed at their verdicts, either way I was entertained.
In fact, its probably Siskel, who put UNDER SIEGE and DIE HARD 2 on his Top Ten lists for those years, why I don’t sweat at all when I put worthy action genre efforts on par with the great “serious” movies.
Anyway, glad to see Ebert still cranking out reviews with his fingers, even if his voice is still silenced. Rock on dude…
*=I still don’t understand how he could hate DIE HARD, FIGHT CLUB, BRAZIL, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, etc.
Wow, look at all the reader comments he’s got already.
LOL, glimmer.
cj, it doesn’t matter whether on tv or in blog it’s gonna be the same ebert™ that listed juno as his fave film of 2007. sorry i couldn’t resist.and this is gonna kill alynch. but typing that first sentence did make me smile. 🙂
and yes ebert, is well ebert/and thank al gore for invernting the internet so he can have blog. but let’s just keep it a secret circa now/there are some ‘smaller’ voices that are abit more essential reading. 🙂
(and alynch i aplogize for my last use of :).ok, i’m sorry… 😉 )
as I said elsewhere, given a choice between having Roger back next to Roeper reviewing vomit like Made of Honor and having him writing a blog where he can write whatever he wants and perhaps interact with readers…I’ll take the blog.
