‘Tis the season when studios offer up selected scripts for some of their most prestigious films. Disney has the WALL¬∑E screenplay online, and thanks to glimmer for pointing out Paramount Vantage has its “For Your Consideration” stocking stuffed with goodies, featuring The Duchess, Defiance, and Revolutionary Road — with downloadable scripts for the first two of those titles. As glimmer says, each year it seems the studios expand the availability of cool materials previously found only in press kits reserved for insiders. It’s another indication of the pervasive power of the net, and an acknowledgment that the more people who are in the loop the more invested the public becomes in the films the studios seek to promote.
Another nice surprise on the Paramount Vantage site are 14 tracks from James Newton Howard’s original score for Defiance.
