Last year we initiated The Awards Daily Sultans, an informal gang of prognOscarcating nomads recruited and sometimes abducted from the ranks of our regular readers. It got way out of hand with pages and pages of interlocking charts, and as many as 10 ranked nominees per category. In these leaner times, we’ve downsized and scaled back our ambitions, but — much like this year’s Oscars — we refuse to cut back on the grandeur.
The Sultans 2.0 chart in its current incarnation clearly owes everything to the decade-long precedent set by Sasha’s much more prestigious official Big Bad Predictions Chart, but what we lack in respect we try to make up with a lot glitz and brazen pretension.
