I saw Je Pourrais Être Votre Grand-Mère (I Could Be Your Grandmother) on cable TV more than a year ago, I guess they screened it on US theaters only this year. This will clinch a nomination coz it’s a got a novel idea and the short film committee has a penchant for picking European shorts especially one with such a title and also one that involves a granny or an old lady.
WHOOPS, I’m sorry, wrong short film category. But the question still stands because I remember TS not advancing on whatever was the last list of animated shorts.
So was the Toy Story short that appeared before The Muppets already disqualified several rounds ago or never submitted to begin with? Not that I was particularly impressed with it, to be perfectly honest.
