Well I’m afraid that you two are in the minority there. The Bourne films were widely lauded as were Damon’s performances in them. They pretty much undisputedly redefined what we now think of as the action/espionage genres.
“Big part of why I never could fully embrace the Bourne movies.”
Exactly, Bryce. : ) Exactly.
I have an issue with Matt Damon as action star (or himself in anything with action stunts done by himself) — I guess, that’s my-bad on my part. . . .
BUT Neill Blomkamp’s name can sell. So, I’m in.
Thanks for embedding.

Big fan of his, but you’re not the only one. I wouldn’t say I hate in in “action”, but something’s definitely off. Maybe it’s his harmless/soft face. He’s incapable of looking threatening in a violent way. Big part of why I never could fully embrace the Bourne movies.
Looks great but good lord are trailers ever getting too long these days.
Whatever happened to a little bit of mystery?
Seems like Jodi Foster will be in my “should-have-been-nominated” considerations for Best Supporting Actress next year!
Don’t wish to dampen people’s spirits, but didn’t we see this movie 52 years ago? Only, back then it was called SPARTACUS.
I didn’t, so I’m still eagerly anticipating ‘Elysium’ (plus, that means ‘Spartacus’ came out 26 years before I was born).
Hahaha! And it means I can’t count properly. Spartacus premiered in 1960. Which makes it 53!
Hahaha! So, scratch that- 27 years before I was born. 😉
off topic…Damon looks great with this look!
I’m hoping this is a good role for Jodie. Remind everyone how you are one of the greatest working actresses.
Please save our terrible movie summer Mr.Blomkamp
Looks great. Apart from all the Matt Damon. :p
I was a big fan of DISTRICT 9 and pleased as punch when it got nommed. Hoping for more excellence.
Definitely better than the first trailer
Good lord this looks good.
Matt Damon looks incredible in this, he’s such an underrated actor. And 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for him, with Candelabra, Elysium and The Monuments Men.
Looking good…and Jodie Foster looks great.
