Filming has begun on Ricki and The Flash. Directed by Jonathan Demme, the film tells the tale of Ricki, played by Meryl Streep, as a woman who chases her musical dream to be a rock star at the expense of her family. Now, an aging rock star, Ricki wants to reconnect with her estranged family. Rick Springfield plays a guitarist who has a crush on Ricki.
Streep was photographed on location, shooting scenes from the upcoming movie. Springfield is behind hits like “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “Affair of the Heart.”
Tristar are producing the film which is set to be released in June 2015.
