Ava DuVernay’s Keynote Address, 2013 Film Independent Forum

You guys, please don’t give me a hard time for posting two Ava DuVernay items in a row, ok? I’m not going around the web on a scavenger hunt searching exclusively for Ava-themed posts, I promise you. Just that these two thing happened to fall into my lap, one right after the other, and I think they’re both really great, so that’s the way the content fell into place, alright? If you think this sudden Avalanche is Ava overload, then I trust you know to scroll, but gosh, I’m tellin ya, if you don’t agree that both these DuVernay items are lovely and inspiring, well, I guess you and I can’t be friends anymore.
