Phyllis Nagy is a successful playwright, screenwriter and director whose latest screenplay is Carol. Starring Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Sarah Paulson the film is set to open in the US next week. Phyllis Nagy is at the Four Seasons about to embark on two days of press for Carol, a project that she has been involved with for twenty years. We talked about working with Todd Haynes and the cast, why she persevered in getting Carol to the screen, and why men are attracted to the film too.
