Ah, Leonardo DiCaprio is a hero of mine. I love the man. I can’t help it. With Oscars, without Oscars — he is a talent like no other. His speech on climate change at the Oscars should make people pay attention, though for many probably it won’t. The hottest year on record, rising sea levels, an extinction rate 1000 times the normal rate — we ARE the anthropocene – the sixth mass extinction that is going to be responsible for the majority of mammals becoming extinct before this planet mercifully shrugs us off. Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later. Either way, so as not to get it mixed up in the pomp and circumstance of the day — this guy, and what he said:
