Last year, the time between final ballots opening and closing was 11 days. This year, it’s down to 8, shortening it by 3 days. The nominating window is roughly the same time, a short window of 8 days. I believe the nominating time should be longer and the winning time shorter because people do not have time to watch everything before putting down their nominations. One week is simply not long enough, considering most of them don’t watch all of the films.
