NBC released an extended look at the tone of the upcoming Will & Grace revival limited series.
NBC’s most lovable foursome comes together for the first official teaser for the return of Will & Grace. If you want song and dance and some Viagra references, look no further than this short musical number.
It starts off very meta with Eric McCormack and Debra Messing leaving NBC executive Bob Greenblatt’s office. McCormack is thrilled to have the green light to start production, but Messing is too hesitant. He takes her backstage and turns on the lights to the set of Will and Grace’s old apartment, and, of course, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes are there still in character. As soon as they are back in the memorable space, they have become their old characters again.
While there isn’t any actual footage from any new episodes, the gang does break into a rousing rendition of “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from the Sunset Boulevard musical, complete with choreography and spotlights. I wonder what Will and Grace will think of Glenn’s return to the stage in the Tony Award snubbed revival? Stay tuned to the very end of the 5 minute promo for another quick joke after the title card appears.
The 12-episode season of Will & Grace will debut this fall on NBC.
