HBO releases a Vice Principals Season 2 preview that asks the question, “Who Shot Gamby?” The series returns September 17 on HBO.
Sometimes you get the sense that there’s just too much great television. As a result, very good shows fall to the wayside. Such was the case with Vice Principals, a fascinating oddity from Danny McBride and David Gordon Green. Many rejected the first season’s harsh tone. I remain infatuated by the brilliant Walton Goggins in, for my money, one of the very best comic performances of Emmy® season 2017. Sadly, he remains ignored by awards-giving bodies.
Goggins and McBride return for the back-half of the series, which filmed a complete series before HBO split it over two seasons. Vice Principals Season 2 premieres on HBO Sunday, September 17, against the Emmys, which makes for oddly great counter programming.
