Netflix FYSEE celebrated closing night with icon and legend Barbra Streisand. Jamie Foxx who appears in her Netflix special, Barbra: The Music… The Mem’ries… The Magic! hosted the evening as Streisand announced six of her specials will join the streaming platform’s library.
My Name Is Barbra (1965), Color Me Barbra (1966), Barbra Streisand: A Happening in Central Park (1968), Barbra Streisand and Other Musical Instruments (1973), Barbra Streisand: The Concert (1994), and Barbra Streisand: Timeless (2001).
Streisand also revealed to the crowd that her classic A Star Is Born will be available to stream with newly added footage. Streisand told the audience that she learned to play the guitar for a scene, but when it came to the final cut, the scene was left on the cutting room floor. The scene was the instrumental version of ‘Evergreen’. The movie arrives at Netflix just ahead of the 2018 remake which stars Bradley Cooper and Stephanie Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga.
As fans traveled from as far as Florida for the hour-long Q&A and a screening of her Netflix special, Streisand also told the audience she was still working on her autobiography.
