The trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s The Laundromat gives us a glimpse at fake insurance policies and money laundering. From China to Mexico to Africa Via LA, Meryl Streep stars as Ellen Martin, investigating a fake insurance policy.
The dodgy dealings all lead her to Panama City and a law firm run by Gary Oldman’s Jürgen Mossack and Ramón Fonseca ( Antonio Banderas).
Soderbergh’s comedy was written by Scott Z. Burns (The Report and The Informant).

The Laundromat will have a platform release starting September 27 in Los Angeles, New York and the UK, additional engagements in U.S. and international cities will rollout October 4 and October 11. The film will be released globally on Netflix on October 18 with an expanded theatrical release in the U.S. and international markets.
