AD TV Exclusive: Listen to the First Two Tracks From the ‘Why We Hate’ Soundtrack

The original soundtrack for Discovery Channel’s documentary series Why We Hate, from four-time Emmy-winning composer Laura Karpman, is now available digitally on Decca Records. AwardsDaily is pleased to premiere its first two tracks here.

Why We Hate

Stepping Stones

The six-part docu-series, executive produced by Oscar winners Steven Spielberg and Alex Gibney, explores hate; all the ways this destructive emotion can manifest in our every day lives, from hateful rhetoric on social media to explosive arguments, and how we can stop it from spreading.

“Why We Hate is one of the most significant projects I’ve ever worked on,” said Karpman. “The music embodies every aspect of the human condition, from the most violent explosions of hate, to the most touching elevations of redemption.”

The soundtrack, which features sweeping and emotional orchestral tracks, was digitally released today, October 25, by Decca Records.

Why We Hate premiered on Discovery Channel on October 13 and is currently airing new episodes every Sunday. You can purchase or stream the soundtrack here.
