Fanboying Out Over Fincher’s ‘Se7en’ On the Latest Our Favorite Movies Entry

This week, the Water Cooler Gang is joined by Awards Daily contributor David Phillips to gush about one of his favorite horror films, David Fincher’s Se7en.

Darkness has fallen across the land, and as such, it’s time for a special Halloween edition of Our Favorite Movies. With Megan away covering the Savannah Film Festival for Awards Daily, Awards Daily’s very own David Phillips joins us to present one of his very favorite horror films: David Fincher’s 1995 classic Se7en. Starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, Se7en is about as dark and brooding as it gets. The film tells the story of a serial killer making his way through the seven deadly sins, victim by victim. We dive into the film’s near 25-year legacy – what makes it great and why the Academy nearly completely ignored it. Plus, why is this one of David’s Favorite Movies?

Before jumping into the darkness, Joey and Clarence talk about HBO’s new Mrs. Fletcher.

We close our podcast, as always, with the Flash Forward to the media we’re most anticipating in the upcoming week.

Thanks for listening and thank you, in advance, for subscribing and rating us on Apple Podcasts!
