This week, the Water Cooler Podcast delves into Disney+’s buzzy limited series WandaVision. Plus, we catch up on Critics Choice winners and DGA TV nominees!
We’ve waited patiently for Disney+’s WandaVision to wrap. This week at the Water Cooler, Joey, Megan, and Clarence catch up on the series as a complete whole. Here, we run the gamut of Marvel tolerance from the devotee (Clarence) to the completely agnostic (Megan). So, how did the series settle with each of us? What did we think of the sitcom aspects versus the eventual Marvel deep-dive? We chat about the performances, the story, and the eventual Emmy trajectory. Plus, should Kathryn Hahn really win awards for her role here?
Bur first, it’s awards season… still. We chat about the recent Critics Choice Award winners and the DGA TV nominations.
We close our podcast, as always, with the Flash Forward to the media we’re most anticipating in the upcoming week.

Coming back just in case anyone feels curious… now we have answers coming from the team.
It was going to be 10 episodes but the pandemic and the fixed release date made it compress the last 2 episodes into 1. Missing are: a battle between Agatha’s rabbit turned into a demon versus Darcy, “Pietro”, Speed, Wyccan and Monica, and Dr. Strange making an appearance.
I wonder if the WV finale is going to play against it, in the next Emmies and Golden Globes… but both Olsen and Hahn look frontrunners to win, already. But it is sooo early.
I doubt the Globes would pay any attention, but it will 100% factor into the Emmys conversation. Below the line will merit 7-10 nominations alone. I wouldn’t say Olsen was a frontrunner over Anya Taylor-Joy at this point. Plus, Cynthia Erivo is coming up for Aretha. Hahn is much more likely.
