HBO’s Sex and the City returned late last year with a new series that famously excluded Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones. However, critics and the internet in general greeted And Just Like That with knives out. And perhaps justifyingly so. The pilot episode missed the original run’s breathless delivery and light execution. Granted, someone died, which wasn’t exactly a hilarious way to start a very different, very modern series, very Che-filled series.
