Is this where all EEAAO haters come to party? Lol the level of hate is remarkable.
my unapologetic fearless indictment verdict on awards season on fb..yeah it a MASSIVE CHALLENGE and cop that to rampant lurid minority activists remember they POSE and presume to exploit TRUE NOBLE LGBTIQ/ social progressive organisations but they are a total perversion of more noble organisations there a BIG DISTINCTION between TRUE genuine cause films and those that are derivative of ACTIVIST HYSTERIA this is the distinction that OSCAR MUST LEARN TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN and frankly it be helpful if they check on learn of influences of certain filmmakers like THE DANIELS- as one of too many examples oscar have favoured before- over far more worthy contenders in past years for best director nominations and wins before they damn well rush their voting decisions..i utterly conv9inced on severity of watered down DELIBERATE UNDERWHELMING NO and calibre of nominations between TOP GUN MAVERICK, BANSHEES AND FABLEMANS AND ELVIS, that this is the case.. IF WE ARE TO HAVE A MIX OF MORE LEVEL HEADED GROUNDED PROGRESSIVE SOCIETAL FILMS THAT ARE NOT DIRECT BYPRODUCT NOR FOLLOW I CALL THE ‘CATTLE CALL’ OF THE ANGRY ABUSIVE EXTREME ACTIVIST MINORITIES – AND INSTEAD THE FILMS THAT GENUINELY TRULY RESONATE TO BOTH MINORITY AND MAJORITY BY REALISTICALLY AND MATURELY ENGAGING BROADER SPECTRUM FILM AUDIENCES TO SOCIETAL THEMES IN CINEMA IN NON GUILTY TRIPPING WAY, AND YES FILMS OF LIKE OF TOP GUN MAVERICK, AVATAR, ETC ETC, THEN OSCAR MUST START BEING AWARE THE TRAP THEY ALREADY FELL INTO AND INFILCTED UNTOLD DAMAGE ON THEIR BRAND AND REPUTATION TO NOW DISENCHANTED DISCONNECTED SILENT MAJORITY..TIME THEY DISTINGUISH BETWEEN HYPERVENTILATED EXTREME ACTIVISM AND NOBLE CAUSES.. TRUE FAC https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/57daec03c101683554b721a3f57e968717868a8c6d5ca780199cbd465c3730bf.jpg T FROM FICTION..BEFORE IT TOO LATE.
This group is relevant because….?
No surprise. Bad picks all around once again 🙂
Last year when they picked CODA everybody was taking it serious and they felt more hopeful that CODA can go all the way. But this year they chose a film that everyone despise because it is a frontrunner, we argue their choices and their taste. Very depressing and disrespectful.

HCA are so irrelevant
As I post this, it doesn’t appear as if Deadline.com, Variety or the Hollywood Reporter even covered them or posted HCA’s winners. Just not newsworthy enough?
The HCA LOVES ”Everything Everywhere All at Once.” They held their 5th annual HCA Midseason Awards in July, and it won 7 awards there, too. (And back then, Austin Butler won Best Actor.)

For what it’s worth, they picked CODA last year when most everyone else chose Dog.
Depressing.
Beautiful
I still think this group is the best (and thereby worst) example of what a business awards have become.
Way too many Hollywood critics groups giving out way too many similar awards. They basically pick chalk (the favorites), so when the Oscars agree, the various groups can say “See, we’re a great bellwether, pay attention to us!”
Say what you want about the LA Film Critics or National Society of Film Critics being outliers, but at least they’re not lemmings.

Thats a good point
1917, Promising Young Woman, Nomadland, CODA, EEAaO…
lol soooo so true just once again chase you are first class in visual way you portray state of awards season gotta love it!
Well-said! The Hollywood Critics Association is another group trying to horn in on the Oscar game, and their awards are frankly an unnecessary addition to the already glutted field of critics prizes. They even created a Midseason Awards to give out MORE awards. Thus, they’re the only ones who can brag they gave out 7 awards to ”EEAAO” last July and last night. And whether Butler, who won in July, or Fraser, who won last night, wins the Oscar, they can claim: ”We awarded them before the Academy did!”
Critics’ Choice, which has bragged on its website about its track record in predicting the Oscars, has spun off other awards to spotlight genre movies and documentaries.
Plus, when it comes to monetizing the awards season, there’s the Palm Spring International Film Festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. They sell tickets to their awards and tributes by exploiting their Southern California locale and the incessant needs of Oscar contenders to seek press. And to insure more coverage, they wrangle journalists who cover the Oscars to host their panels. It’s so incestuous.
They uploaded the whole ceremony on YouTube. Only yeoh wasn’t there to accept the award among the acting winners: basset, Fraser, Ke gave great speeches.
Jenny slate was up on the stage accepting a few awards for Marcel and EEAAO for best casting. She is a revelation on that mic! Funny, genuine, and full of sincerity!
she was the best thing in everything everywhere

THIS IS WAY BIGGER THAN THE MINNOWS IN THE HCA…hardly respected indicator hardly worth mentioning note the ‘critics’ part of it..’biggest win by eeaao in it history’? it so called ‘history’ lasted bu t a FRACTION of the REAL main awards indicators…
still NOT BECAUSE THE HCA gave it to them but cos we all know the political febrile mood of awards seaosn ALWAYS going EEAAO way that it would win.
ONLY THING THAT THEY GOT RIGHT AS FAR AS OVERALLY BIG AWARDS- SUB GENRE CATEGORY DECISIONS WERE FINE OVERALL but TOP GUN MAVERICK GOT CINEMATOGRAPHY WIN! WHICH FRNAKLY IT SHOUL AT VERY LEAST BLITZ EVERY SINGLE DAMN cinematography award on the PLANET availavble this year
all except oscar with their CRIMINAL LEVEL SNUBS of top gun maverick in the technical categories.
Swell.
I despised the Black Phone. Using sexual assault of children as a source of horror in a horror film is pretty distasteful.
It’s a horrible film, but next in line was probably Barbarian, which is an idiotic film.
Go EEAAO ! Good omens for tomorrow and Sunday ! ❤️
