Congratulations to AD’s Scott Kernen’s Rotten Tomatoes Gig

Scott Kernen has just been hired by Rotten Tomatoes to cover movie news. Here is his first story:

For the time being, Scott will still continue his weekly column dropping here on Mondays, Next Gen Oscarwatcher, and our podcast, Frontrunners and Challengers, and he will do double duty.

Scott was among the first to reach out to me after the Hollywood Reporter story broke, and my entire staff left – most of them to salvage their own careers and have a chance at not being canceled by the totalitarians who run Hollywood. Some of them left because that’s the kind of people they are. But Scott reached out to me on Twitter and had the courage to be one of the writers here.

Jeremy came next, and the three of us together are attempting to hold the site steady as it heads into its 27th year. Both Scott and Jeremy have to deal with an unending amount of abuse and bullshit from terrible people who insist everyone obey or else. They are heroes for resisting the social pressure.

Congratulations Scott! It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
