A big mess ballooned in entertainment news as well-meaning social justice warrior/incredibly wealthy and privileged actor, Mark Ruffalo, worth an estimated $35 million, stepped into a steaming pile of shit and attempted to demonize the Paramount/Skydance merger with Warner Bros. as “complicit in genocide and apartheid” but really, the truth is that Ruffalo and many in Hollywood will say anything and do anything to block the merger because they think it’s Trump overtaking all of media, which is laughable.
The side with the power is the side artists are too afraid to upset by oh, say, playing at the Kennedy Center or celebrating America’s 250. The side with the power can crush a small “woman-owned” business like mine just for a story saying I dared to vote for Donald Trump. Ruffalo, like his buddy John Cusack standing with him, and every other Hollywood hypocrite, is part of a totalitarian system that silences dissent, and one of the ways they do that is what Ruffalo is doing here, bleating about “genocide” to scare people into compliance.
They have cast themselves as the good guys but they’re not. They’re just not smart enough to realize it. Both of them throw around words like “fascist” and “dictator” and “pedophile,” stripping them of all meaning because that’s the only way to get attention in our saturated content blitz. But no, words do matter.
The war is Gaza is brutal and horrific because all wars are. The phrase “war is hell” doesn’t just come out of nowhere. Americans, celebrities like Ruffalo especially, are so insulated from the horrors of war that they’re easily manipulated into believing things that aren’t true.
They’ve 100% forgotten the Holocaust. They have no idea what Stalin did. They barely remember what Hitler did. Otherwise, you wouldn’t see directors like Jonathan Glazer using Zone of Interest to suggest what Israel has done is, in any way, on par with Hitler.
Because they’re celebrities and “important” people and because “Free Palestine” is the cause celebe, Ruffalo thinks he’s helping fight the good fight by popping off about Israel, Oracle and Paramount. But again, he’s too dumb to know the implications of what he is saying.
Here is what genocide looks like.
That was 1938 and still, the world did nothing about Hitler. In Iran, 30-40,000 protesters were slaughtered by the government just for standing there. Do you think a popcorn-brained fool like Mark Ruffalo (no offense) has any concern for that? The answer: of course not. We saw what all of these wealthy, entitled liberals did when the Iranian film It Was Just an Accident dropped into the Oscar race, with the director potentially under threat of being thrown in jail. THAT is what a dictator looks like. Oh, but it didn’t fit into the oppressor/oppressed mindset like Palestine, so guys like Ruffalo and all of Hollywood turned a blind eye.
Genocide is the deliberate attempt to wipe out a people because of WHO THEY ARE, you know, the thing that’s been happening to the Jews for thousands of years? Yeah, that. It is Israel the Arab world wants to wipe off the map, not the other way around. Why are they so vicious? Because of World War II. Because they trusted the Germans that they really were being sent off to work camps not, you know, to be mass murdered in the Final Solution.
Only the dumbest among us (I’m looking at you, Mark Ruffalo) would diminish real genocide (like what’s happening to Christians in Africa) with a brutal war in Gaza. You want to see what war looks like? Check out the brilliant documentary by Tom Hanks on the History Channel called World War II. If you are not educated enough to understand what happens in war, then you really should just shut the fuck up.

What happened to Berlin after World War II is ten times the size of the destruction in Gaza. But we didn’t have social media then. I shudder to think of what would have happened if we did. Would Hitler have a podcast? Would he virtue signal like Mark Ruffalo on Instagram to convince the world that it really was the Jews causing all of the problems?
Does Mark Ruffalo have any idea what Hitler was on about in Germany in the 1920s? And after World War I, how he demonized the Jews in Germany for being lazy, hogging all of the wealth for themselves and never having fought in the war (they did). You could not get to Kristallnacht without an ongoing, systematic dehumanization campaign against the Jews. That happened then, and it’s starting to happen now on both the Left and the Right.
They don’t use the word “Jew.” They say “Zionist.” And plenty of Jews are out there begging for absolution, explaining they don’t agree with the politics either. Doesn’t matter. They’ll be shot dead all the same just for the crime of being Jewish. Are you getting it yet?
Israel did not start the war. Hamas did. If you poke a stick at a rattlesnake, what do you think will happen? If you want to go to war with Israel, you do what Hamas did. They wanted the war. They knew that the whole world would turn on Israel because over the past 20 years, whole generations have been indoctrinated to see our civilization as divided into the oppressed and the oppressors. They can’t fathom a war where they believe the “white people” are defeating the “brown people.”
In Hollywood, everyone is expected to go along with the lie that Israel is “committing genocide,” and if you don’t, you can’t sit at the cool kids’ table with Ruffalo. Then they turn around and pretend like there is some “black list” for pro-Palestine people. What a joke. The black list is for anyone who doesn’t comply with the Left, like me and anyone who dissents. Those are people who are punished.
Yes in their fantasy world actors are being “punished” for their views on Palestine but at most, they get fired off a job by someone who can’t stand working with someone that dumb. But that is not what is really happening in Hollywood when it comes to blacklists.
It’s a win-win for Ruffalo, too. He, like all celebrities, live in their pristine bubble surrounded by sycophants and yes men who never contradict them or tell them the truth about anything. So why wouldn’t he see himself as a kind of superman?
I personally don’t support boycotting Ruffalo or anything like that. The one thing he’s actually good at is acting. But even if he claims to not hate the Jews (I believe him), he is contributing to the kind of propaganda that is already leading to a spike in hate crimes against Jews.
Most people in Hollywood are too afraid to speak up and that’s why Mark Ruffalo feels emboldened to just say whatever he feels like because it makes him feel important. Shout out to Sharon Waxman who did not hold back.
Ruffalo just doesn’t realize how dangerous his ideas are here. If he doesn’t want the merger, he should just say so. He should spin yet more delusional fantasies that are already taking us to a dangerous place as a country.
70-80 million people died in World War II. Its horrors are beyond the imaginings of anyone alive today, especially Americans. If you watch the Tom Hanks series on the Great War all the way through, you’ll come away from it having a much better understanding of what war looks like.
96% of the time humans have been alive, they’ve been at war. Unfortunately, history repeats. My advice to Mark Ruffalo is simply this. I’ll let Bo Burnham say it.
As you all already know, I support the merger because I believe it is our only chance to break the ideological monopoly that now controls Hollywood. That monopoly controls thought and speech and has crippled a once-thriving industry. That they’re Jewish or involved in Israeli politics and technology is a different subject entirely. Don’t get it twisted.
