Cinema Audio Society Announces TV Bids

The Cinema Audio Society has announced their 52nd annual nominations in categories covering both television and film. For television, the usual awards suspects are in contention with Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Hotel receiving two bids. The True Detective nomination was a bit of a surprise given the punching bad the series has proven over the last few months. Series nominees include AMC’s The Walking Dead which is frequently recognized in the crafts guilds. The awards will be presented on February 20.

The nominees are as follows:

  • American Horror Story: Hotel – “Room Service”
  • American Horror Story: Hotel – “Checking In”
  • Fargo
  • True Detective

Television Series – 1 Hour

  • Better Call Saul
  • Game of Thrones
  • Homeland
  • House of Cards
  • The Walking Dead

Television Series – 1/2 Hour

  • Modern Family
  • Nurse Jackie
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Silicon Valley
  • Veep

Television Non-Fiction, Variety or Music Series or Specials

  • Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown
  • Deadliest Catch
  • Keith Richards: Under the Influence
  • Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck
  • Live from Lincoln Center: Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton
