Ray Donovan. Katie Holmes is returning to television in what as described as a major role on the third season of Showtime’s Liev Schreiber drama. She’ll play the daughter of one of Schreiber’s clients played by the recently announced Ian McShane (TVLine)

Grimm. New Zealand’s Nico Evers-Swindell (William & Kate) will play “handsome, ruthless and commanding” Prince Kenneth in two and possibly more episodes of NBC’s fantasy drama. (TVLine)

New Girl. Fiona Gubelmann (Wilfred) has booked an episode of the Zooey Deschanel cutesplosion as a mourner at a funeral of one of Coach’s gym mates. (TVLine)

Casting – New Shows

Scream Queens. Nick Jonas will have a recurring role in the new Ryan Murphy FOX horror comedy. Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween, Trading Places) and Emma Roberts (American Horror Story, We’re the Millers) were already on board the show centered around a series of murders at a college campus. Well, three out of four isn’t bad I guess. (Variety)

One Day at a Time. Norman Lear, who recently presented the Visionary Award to Brad Pitt at the SAG Awards, is in talks with Sony Pictures Television and Televisa USA to produce a Latino version of his 1970s sitcom One Day at a Time. No deals have been made so for now it’s all just talk (TV Insider)
