Unsinkable Will Arnett Adds Another Netflix Show to His Resume

As soon as Will Arnett gets a show canceled, he gets right back into the game. The Millers was canceled by CBS this past November, but Arnett will be back on Netflix with Flaked, an 8-episode comedy. The series is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2016.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Arnett will play Chip, a self-appointed self-help guru who falls in love with his best friend’s girlfriend. His sobriety begins to fall apart as his frustration mounts. Surely, we can all relate to love making fools of us all, and Arnett is no stranger to being embarrassed after tangling with his mother on The Millers.

Netflix vice president Cindy Holland released a statement about Arnett’s return: “We are thrilled to be the home of Will Arnett’s next series, and look forward to Chip joining his repertoire alongside such diverse and inspirational characters such as Gob, Bojack, and Batman.”

His Emmy-nominated guest work on 30 Rock must also assure viewers that any Arnett is good Arnett. Hopefully, this will be more Arrested Development (whose fourth season debuted on the instant streaming network) and less Up All Night.
