Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Black-ish, and The Middle were among the nominees of the 41st Annual Humanitas Prize, which recognizes both film and television. Humanitas Prize nominees are recognized for work that “explores the human experience in a way that both entertains and enlightens.”
Showtime’s The Affair was also among the nominees, and series co-creator Sarah Treem took to Twitter today to say, “Thank you (Humanitas Prize). Of all of prizes in Hollywood, this one means the most to us.”
The winners will be announced on February 11. Nominees in television categories are as follows:
