Amazon’s description: At the start of the Civil War, a prominent Virginia family makes the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves, pitting the family against one another and testing their strength, courage and love. The pilot was co-written by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Randall Wallace (Braveheart) and directed by Wallace.

  1. Finally! Looks like someone has produced a series with some intelligence behind it. The actors look great, are believable and can appear to handle a dialogue with greater than three word sentences. The civil war is a still a serious subject in America; nice to the see the producers treating it so. Where do I sign up?

    1. I’m looking forward to it as well. I’ve heard some griping online about historical accuracy and whatnot, but I’m waiting to watch it before I judge. You’ll be able to watch the pilot tomorrow. Hopefully it gets turned into a series.
