Water Cooler Podcast: Episode 59 – TV Diversity, ‘Angie Tribeca’ In the Mix

Television diversity and “Angie Tribeca” dominate this week’s Water Cooler conversation.

On this week’s Water Cooler Podcast, the Cooler gang take a look at the recent Oscar nominations. Yes, we’re a television podcast, but we take this opportunity to discuss the broad array of diversity available on television including race, gender, and sexuality. We dig at the root of the problem (Hollywood and money) and talk about why television is able to offer up such a diverse slate.

Next, we take a look at TBS’s new comedy Angie Tribeca which stars Rashida Jones in a broad spoof of police procedurals. We close with a new segment, the Flash Forward, that highlights what we’re looking forward to in the coming television week.
