Empire Magazine, via SlashFilm, has released a voted on list of the five hundred best. These were voted on by readers and Hollywood insiders like Sam Mendes, Guillermo Del Toro, Pedro Almodovar, Quentin Tarantino, Mike Leigh, Cameron Crowe, etc. What immediately strikes me is how high The Dark Knight is on the list. Is that because it is truly a top 30 or because it is the film of the moment? Here are the first 30:
