Tom O’Neil knows what it’s like to put oneself on the line during Oscar season. It can sometimes be not too pretty of a picture. The only really bizarre twist of this season could come if the Dark Knight is shut out of Best Picture on Thursday. There are a few others but that is the big one. My best guess is that if it isn’t the Dark Knight it will be The Reader, which, like Atonement, got both the Globe and the BAFTA but not the DGA. I will be jotting down my “official” predictions later tonight (but you know, with a grain of salt…)
