The hard-edged indie “Winter’s Bone” won the most awards from the Detroit Film Critics Society this year, but the best picture prize went to “The Social Network,” the Facebook film that has dominated critics awards across the nation. ¬†
Newcomer Jennifer Lawrence, who played an Ozark mountain teen searching for her father while barely holding her family together, won the best actress and breakthrough performance awards for her work in “Winter’s Bone.” The “Winter’s Bone” cast was also judged best ensemble.
