Fox Searchlight has unveiled the poster and a living poster for The Birth of a Nation. The living poster features Nate Parker who wrote, directed and stars in the film saying, ““Brothers, we’ve been chosen. The Lord has spoken to me: visions of what’s to come. A rise of good against evil. The first shall be last, the last shall be first. Stand with us.”
Parker plays Nat Turner in the biopic based on the 1831 slave rebellion led by Turner. We get to see a glimpse of the rebellion in the living poster as Turner speaks to his fellow slaves.
The Birth of a Nation will be released on October 7 and co-stars Armie Hammer, and Aja Naomi King. Watch the living poster below.
