I will admit that, generally speaking, I find these lists by critics to be annoying in that they almost tell you more about a generation that reports on and writes about film than they do the films themselves but I’m finding it hard to find fault with this list. I think it’s pretty great overall and have very little complain about (I’d have moved The Social Network way up). I also think that No Country for Old Men is better than There Will Be Blood but both are represented here. David Lynch takes the top spot and who can complain about that. What I would say about this list is that it absolutely defends the films critics themselves have highly praised so to that it is an honest list. Are there annoying things about it? Sure. But who can complain overall. These are solid choices.
