Sinners, The Best Film of the Year, Gets a Re-Release in Imax for Halloween

“Wednesday, November 19, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – The Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) is pleased to announce their nominations for the 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards, honoring outstanding achievements by artisans whose remarkable work elevates the art of storytelling across film and television. This year’s nominees represent an exceptional range of creative talent that include studio blockbusters, critically acclaimed independent features, and some of the most celebrated series on television. The nominees reflect the extraordinary contributions of the artists whose work resonates with audiences around the globe.

This year’s Astra Creative Arts Awards nominees were selected by two nominating committees. The committees consisted of a wide range of industry professionals including actors, artisans, critics, directors, entertainment journalists, and publicists, all of whom are members of the Hollywood Creative Alliance. The 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025 with a venue to be revealed in the upcoming days.

On the film side, the 2025 nominations highlight a remarkable year in cinema defined by ambition and meticulous craftsmanship. Ryan Coogler’s Sinners received the most nominations of any film submitted, earning a total of eleven. Wicked: For Good closely followed with ten nominations, while Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein rounded out the top three with nine. In total, twenty-eight films were recognized across fourteen creative arts categories. Each of the nominated films showcases a wide range of artistry, precision, and innovation that sits at the core of great filmmaking. The members of the HCA look forward to celebrating the individuals and teams whose work brought depth, scale, and emotional power to the big screen.

On the television side, the HCA is delighted to recognize a wide variety of returning hit series as well as some new ones. Fan favorites such as Stranger Things, Severance, and Wednesday appear alongside standout newcomers that include Pluribus, The Pitt, and Alien Earth. The nominated series can be found across key craft categories including Casting, Choreography, Production Design, Main Title Design, Score, Makeup, Hairstyling, Stunts, Sound, and Visual Effect. This year’s nominees remind us of the innovation and excellence of today’s most compelling and bingeworthy television storytelling.”
